A Piece of Heaven
I stumbled upon this listing purely by accident while looking for a place to rent for my daughter and her husband. I contacted the listing and received a return call almost immediately & was invited out to see the space. After visiting with Ashley and spending nearly 2hrs walking around the property, watching the horses, petting the pups and standing on the large front porch it was clear that Lazy Dog Acres was the perfect location! I rented Ashley's place to host what we so lovingly called a "Co-ed BBQ baby shower" for my daughter and her husband who are currently stationed in Washington. Ashley was simply amazing!! She was in contact with me up to and during the entire weekend. The baby shower was a huge success and with the perfect weather and the perfect space, it all simply felt like one big Sunday BBQ gathering. There were kids running around, people were on the front porch, others were in the back, some inside and a few wandering around. Ashley provided some music that was playing in the garage while the daddy-to-be and his buddies were on the grill and momma-to-be was moving through the entire space visiting with friends and family she hadn't seen in awhile. I cannot express enough just how amazing our weekend was here. Whether you are looking for a place to host out of town guests or to simply just get away, Lazy Dog Acres is definitely the place to go.

We had our Rehearsal Dinner, with 50 guests, In September at Ashley's beautiful farm. The setting was perfect! Ashley thought of every detail to make the evening unforgettable- from the homestyle dinner buffet set up-to the patio fires. We could not have asked for a better hostess, location and ambiance.

When my husband and I first started looking for venues, we knew we wanted someplace cozy, home-y, rustic, colourful, and versatile. We also wanted to find a venue owner with whom we could build a meaningful relationship. We got all of that and more at Lazy Dog Acres! We fell in love with the property the second we saw it last spring, and our wedding was absolutely magical. Ashley, the owner, is resourceful, positive, energetic, and an all-around wonderful person to work with. She helped us every step of the way and was able to provide most of the ceremony seating and dinner tables we needed. She even went above and beyond to help provide small touches to create the aesthetic we were looking for. We got so much value from Lazy Dog, plus our guests had a blast! So, if you're looking for the perfect outdoor, rustic, and cozy venue, I highly recommend Lazy Dog Acres!
